The BMS tuning platform expansion continues as BMS picked up an Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio for development purposes. As you know the Giulia Quadrifoglio features a powerful 505 horsepower 2.9 liter twin turbo F154 V6. The motor responds well to tuning and BMS will likely offer basic bolt ons including an intake as well as their tune. Considering how well modern ECU's are responding to BMW JB4 tuning efforts Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio enthusiasts should be glad BMS is entering the ring. Expect baseline dynos and early tuning results soon which of course AlfaRomeoBoost.com will bring you.

If you wanted to get an idea as to how quick a bolt on McLaren 720S is from 60-130 miles per hour, here you go. This Gintani tuned example managed a 60-130 sprint in 4.51 seconds on pump gas. This is still slightly traction limited: The modifications are as stated with your expected bolt ons included an intercooler, downpipes, exhaust, and of course the Gintani tune. That 60-130 should be good for around a 150 trap speed or so depending on conditions.

Race Chip is known for their piggyback tuning boxes. They provide some good data such as their Lamborghini Urus Maha baseline dyno figures. Well, now we get the tuned numbers to see how they compare. So what did they get over the baseline? Not much: Peak crank horsepower only improves by 31.3. Torque improves by 93.7 Newton-Meters or 69 lb-ft of torque. It is not surprising to see the majority of the gains on the turbo motor come down low but this is a very weak dollar to horsepower ratio. Flash tunes should crush this and frankly it would be interesting to see how a BMS JB4 compares on the platform. Now, dyno gains are one thing. What about real world acceleration numbers? The stock 100-200 kph sprint takes 9.08 seconds. For an SUV that is fast: Tuned? 7.95: Taking off over a second in the 100-200 kph sprint is commendable and would make for an SUV that could surprise a lot of cars on the highway. It is going to be fun to watch Urus tuning evolve.

Another day, another 800+ wheel horsepower BMW S55. This one is a BMW F82 M4 which features a Maximum PSI built S55 motor (you will definitely want to build your motor at this level) along with the Maximum PSI S55 crank hub kit. RK Tunes did a great job dialing it in: Just shy of 800 lb-ft of torque at the wheels with plenty of power up top. With that much torque ramping in it requires upgraded DCT clutch discs. The car is tuned on a blend of E85 and 93 octane pump fuel. Obviously the Pure Stage 2+ turbochargers are doing some work to reach this output. 2019 just might be the year of the S55 in BMW tuning.

McLaren 650S dynographs from Fabspeed are nothing new and were posted in previous articles. This latest Dynojet graph is a bit different though likely due to the scaling as the factorub M838T turbochargers tend to fall off pretty hard. Just look at the graph: It sure looks like the turbos run out of breath going past 6k rpm. Regardless, the Fabspeed bolt on modifications make a big difference in output. They get just shy of 100 lb-ft of torque at the wheels with large gains in area under the curve from 3500-6300 rpm. This is achieved with Fabspeed HJS 200 Cell Sport Cats, Supersport X-Pipe w/Can-Am style tips, BMC Air Filters and an ECU Tune. You can listen to the exhaust note below but it is clear if you want big power going to 8500 rpm on the 650S you will need to look into a hybrid turbo upgrade.

Goodyear released some new high end rubber called the Eagle Supsport R and Eagle Supersport RS. The R is supposed to be more of a streetable high grip tire which likely will rival the Toyo R888R and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2. The Goodyear Eagle Supersport RS is a more hardcore track day tire that is still street legal and seems positioned against the Pirelli Trofeo R and Michelin Sport Cup 2R. Many of us are looking for sticky rubber that is still streetable with how powerful cars are getting. The Toyota R888R is popular for that purpose but tire technology evolves and cars certainly are not getting less powerful. Are these new offerings from Goodyear the tires to have? We will have to wait and see. There is a test of both tires on a Porsche 991.2 GT2 RS below but they are not compared to the rubber the car comes with. Regardless, the Superport RS turns a lap four seconds quicker than the already impressive R. A direct comparison of the top streetable track tires should come soon and we may have a new champion with these new Eagle Supersports. The Eagle F1 SuperSport R further increases grip levels and steering precision on and off track. Grip levels are enhanced through use of a high-friction compound that provides exceptional dry grip levels, while excellent cornering stability is ensured by bridges in the tread pattern’s inner groove reducing deformation of tread blocks under extreme cornering forces. Steering precision and feedback have also been further enhanced by optimizing the tire’s footprint for more consistent pressure distribution. The Eagle F1 SuperSport RS is Goodyear’s most race-focused tire, designed to push the limit on track while remaining road legal. A highly specialized racing-originated compound provides ultimate grip and performance levels in dry conditions.

There is that element but clearly people attribute value to it. The thing is with bitcoin there is less and less. There is a finite amount. Why does real life gold have any value? Only because of what it trades at.

They value is entirely based on public perception of future value. I've become convinced it's all just a ponzi scheme to find the bigger sucker.

Great power out of the 2.0 liter M133 with the TTE450 (The Turbo Engineers Germany) turbocharger upgrade. This is a fairly mild upgrade for the platform as it is a hybrid turbo upgrade and the 450 in the name is rated for crank output. Turbo specs: About 450HP / Over 600Nm · Original BWTS turbocharger as base part · Fast response · TTE Billet Milled compressor 6 + 6 BLADE · BWTS High-Flow clipped Turbine · Plug and Play installation · Upgrade bearing pack · Proven TheTurboEngineers quality · Single parts finely balanced then components assembled and core high-speed VSR balanced · Supplied with a balance test result document · Made in Germany You can see the rating is a bit conservative as Bevo Tuning topped 500 crank horsepower: Bevo Tuning did a great job as the curve looks phenomenal. An M133 upgrade certainly worth looking into if considering the hybrid route or if located in Europe.

This is the quickest and fastest Mustang GT350 in the world. What makes it particularly impressive is the GT350 is manual transmission only meaning the driver is rowing his own gears here. Some great driving and it also makes this the quickest and fastest overall manual S550 Mustang. Some perspective on this GT350: Current Records Held by Joe's 1400R GT350 - Highest Horsepower GT350 (1497 whp) - Fastest Half Mile GT350 (193.5 mph) - Quickest and Fastest 1/4 Mile GT350 - Quickest and Fastest Stick-Shift S550 1/4 Mile He holds all the records worth holding. Unfortunately, the full slip for the pass was not posted: As for what a 1400R twin turbo GT350 Voodoo package from Fathouse Fab includes, well, you would need to ask them. They only list details for the 1200R which can make 1348 whp at 23 psi: -Hand built stainless steel turbo headers -Full custom stainless steel exhaust -Precision tig welding throughout -Xona Rotor dual ball bearing turbochargers -Heat coating and turbo blankets -Motec M150 ECU Package -Electronic boost control with multiple settings -Tial MVR recirculated wastegates -Tial Q blow off valve -4.5″ Thick Intercooler (symmetrical design) -Coated intercooler piping (zero ground clearance loss) -Custom Air Filters -Purpose built scavenge system -Catch can system with lines and fittings -Injector Dynamics Injectors -Return style fuel system -Upgraded twin disc clutch -Triple fuel pump upgrade -Forged engine package -Upgraded sleeves -Billet Oil Pump and Crank Sprocket gears -Carbon fiber driveshaft -Level 5 axles -Drag radial tires -Suspension upgrade -Professional installation -Custom dyno tuning, true flex fuel setup A twin turbo GT350 sure is a hell of a ride.

1000+ horsepower LT5 motors existed before this but not in the C7 ZR1 chassis or in a street car. This is the first actual C7 Corvette ZR1 to make 1000+ wheel horsepower and Advanced Modern Performance achieved it boost only. The curve is not bad with power climbing to 7k rpm: Now what are the full mod details? Beyond knowing this is boost only with the TVS2650 pushing 23+ psi Advanced Modern Performance did not post any details. Some digging revealed they tuned the car on E85. The result does go to show what a monster the TVS2650 is. We should start seeing more 1000+ C7 ZR1's on the factory blower in the next few months. The question now is, what will it run at the dragstrip?

The Dallas News reports the state senate passed a bill which will outlaw red light cameras in Texas. The governor is expected to sign the bill into law which will make Texas the 11th state to ban the use of red light cameras. Good for those 11 states but many people are still getting scammed by these cameras. Republicans argued the cameras violate due process and democrats stated the cameras improve public safety. Really, the cameras bring in a ton of money and the companies that sell the cameras pitch them to cities as revenue generators. There are studies showing increased rear end collisions as people attempt to avoid getting a red light ticket and speed past. Fremont California was caught shortening yellow light time to increase red light violations which in turn increased revenue. Good riddance. Source
