    • Cadillac adopting 'Blackwing' moniker to denote its high performance cars

BMW has M. Mercedes has AMG. Cadillac has Blackwing. What happened to the good old 'V' name? Well, Cadillac is now using the letter V on everything it seems. This means you should no longer expect anything with a name like a CTS-V to denote the highest performance model.

Instead you will see CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing.

Maybe the branding will work for Cadillac but what Cadillac could probably use above all else is some model naming stability.

Yeah this is really stupid. The old V-sport models were more powerful than the new CT5-V.
And the real V will now be V Blackwing? Its a mouthful and dilutes the brand even worse than BMW, Audi, and MB have done slapping their M-sport/S-line/AMG badges on everything.

Imagine if all the M-sport appearance package cars (not even M40i models) had real M badges from the factory? It devalues the performance line so much it makes no sense.

Cadillac can't seem to find any stability. They still haven't figured out what to call their cars while BMW, Mercedes, Audi, long ago figured out their naming schemes.

Piss poor management for a long time honestly.
GM in general can't seem to get their $#@! together. The new camaro and truck designs are just butt ugly and they are murdering Cadillac as a luxury performance brand.
