    • 2021 Cadillac Escalade revealed with no Blackwing twin turbo V8

What exactly was the point of Cadillac developing a twin turbo V8 if they are never going to use it? It feels as if Cadillac is all over the place and has no direction. At least there is one thing they can not screw up and that would be their very popular Escalade.

You get a 6.2 liter V8 and a turbo diesel 3.0 liter I6 engine option. The diesel offers 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. Both are mated to a 10-speed automatic.

The Blackwing twin turbo V8 obviously is missing and likely never coming. What may eventually debut is an LT4 supercharged V8. Why not just go all the way with the LT5?

It is cool the diesel is being offered but from a performance standpoint there is no exciting news.

The main changes are the styling inside and out and while the exterior is a bit sleeker the major upgrade is in the interior.

This new Escalade feels a bit like a mild upgrade rather than something completely new.
